Update Statement for Chancellor Search
On behalf of the Search Committee, we would like to update the campus community on the status of the search for the permanent Chancellor. Dr. Steve Nelson completed his on-site interviews for the permanent Chancellor position on December 5, 2023.
We are looking forward to welcoming our next candidate for the permanent Chancellor position, Dr. George Macones on December 11 and 12, 2023.
The on-site interview of Dr. Harold Paz on December 13 and 14, 2023, has been cancelled.
We would like to thank our campus community for supporting our efforts to conduct the search for the next permanent Chancellor of LSUHSC - New Orleans.
Chancellor Candidates Interviews
The Chancellor’s Search Committee is excited to conduct on-campus interviews for the permanent Chancellor of LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans over the next two weeks. These candidates will be meeting with individuals and groups, along with taking a tour of our campus. The candidates will be escorted by either Dr. Demetrius Porche or Dr. Catherine O’Neal. We encourage our campus community to warmly greet and welcome our candidates while they are on campus. The dates for each candidate interview are below and itinerary outlines showing the individuals and groups that they will meet with while on campus are attached. We want them to feel welcome and display the very best of what we are as an institution!
