PeopleSoft Support

Responsibilities of the PeopleSoft Support Organization include:

Table maintenance The system set-up and configuration tables impact several functional areas. All changes to configuration of the data and tables are coordinated through PeopleSoft Support.
Security maintenance Additions, changes, or deletions to LSUHSC PeopleSoft security may be coordinated through PeopleSoft Support with Information Security and will comply with institutional policies and procedures for system security. This will insure that new users are quickly granted access, terminated employees are denied access, and the number of security operator classes remains manageable.
Software upgrade, patch and fix maintenance All software updates, patches and fixes are coordinated through PeopleSoft Support who manages the research, timing and prioritization of the application and the testing of the delivered functionality. This coordination is crucial to ensure LSUHSC is up-to-date on all software patches and the application and testing is conducted in a controlled environment.
System enhancements and modifications All future application software enhancements and modifications will be coordinated through PeopleSoft Support. New system releases/upgrades, modifications, enhancements and reporting requirements will require evaluation, design, set-up, and functional testing before they are deployed.
Training support PeopleSoft Support is responsible for the development and implementation of end-user training for the LSUHSC end-user population.
End-user Reporting PeopleSoft Support assists end-users by developing efficient reporting techniques via Public Queries, nVision and Crystal Reports.
Communication PeopleSoft Support is responsible for communicating in a consistent manner all changes as they relate to the LSUHSC PeopleSoft applications.
