Skype for Business Retirement
Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Teams will replace Skype for Business on August 5th.

What to expect on August 5th:

You should begin using Teams for services where you previously used Skype for Business. On August 5th you will no longer be able to sign into Skype for Business.

You will receive all incoming calls and chats (IMs) in Microsoft Teams.

You will no longer be able to create new Skype for Business meetings. You can still join existing Skype for Business meetings. You can create Microsoft Teams meetings instead.

You may experience some temporary limitations in your ability to connect with colleagues at other organizations who have not yet switched to Teams. Microsoft is quickly working to upgrade all organizations to Teams which will resolve this.

The following data has been migrated to Teams

Existing contacts from Skype for Business Online including federated (but no distribution lists).
- Existing Skype for Business Online meetings are converted to Teams meetings.
