A 200-year-old architectural drawing of Charity Hospital (5th building from 1833-1939) is now displayed above the 1921 photograph of the same building in the Moerschbaecher Library Commons on the third floor of the Resource Center. This drawing was previously located in Big Charity (6th building from 1939-2005), and was removed for storage in Fall 2006. This item and many others were returned to the LSU Health New Orleans campus in September 2024.

The drawing underwent professional restoration and cleaning the summer of 2025, and was archivally framed fall 2025.

More information about the history and locations of Charity Hospital from the 18th through the 21st century is available on the History of South Louisiana Research Guide at https://libguides.lsuhsc.edu/hospitalhistory/neworleans.
