CM-32 - Statement of The Student Role and Participation in
Institutional Decision Making

On questions of formulating policy, students are entitled to
a participatory function. Students shall be free, individually
and collectively, to express their views on issues of
institutional policy and on matters of general interest to the
student body. Participation may involve a variety of methods
including but not limited to the following:
- Formal recommendations by the Student Government Associations
and other recognized units of student self-government
- Student membership on standing and ad hoc committees of the
Health Sciences Center
- Special student committees appointed by members of the
administration for advice and assistance on specific issues or
policies
- Student petitions
- Student discussion of proposed policies in committees, in
student organizations, in student-sponsored forums, or in the
student publications
- Informal advice and counsel to administrators by officers of
recognized units of student self-government and officers of
recognized student organizations, and advice and counsel to
administrators by individual students.
