Citrix StoreFront with Safari (MacOS)

  1. Open Safari and browse to https://storefront.lsuhsc.edu.
     
  2. If you already have the Citrix Receiver installed on your Mac, you can Skip to Step 7 of this document.
     
  3. If you do not already have the Citrix Receiver installed on your Mac, StoreFront should prompt you to install it. Click inside the check box next to “I agree with the Citrix Receiver Agreement.” and then click “Install”:

  4. Safari will now start downloading “CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg” – Double Click on the downloaded file to open the Disk Image:

  5. Double click on “Install Citrix Receiver.pkg” and proceed through the prompts by clicking
    • “Continue” and “Agree” > “Install”
    • DO NOT check "Add Account"
    • Click "Continue"
    • Click "Close”

  6. Go back to the Safari browser page and click “Trust” to enable the Citrix Receiver plug-in:

  7. You should now see the StoreFront logon dialog, shown below.  Simply log on with your typical LSUHSC User ID and password:

  8. You will now see your available Citrix desktop connections, similar to the screenshot below:

    From the above you can launch your Citrix desktop(s) simply by clicking their corresponding icons shown above.  If you have any standalone Citrix applications, you can click on the “APPS” button depicted above, and launch the application(s) in a similar way.If you wish to set up Favorites, simply click on the “FAVORITES” button shown above, and follow the simple on-screen instructions. (Setting up favorites is completely optional.)
     
  9. Once you are finished working in Citrix, be sure to log off your desktop(s) and close any Citrix apps.  Then, if you are still logged on to StoreFront, find your name in the upper right corner of the StoreFront window, click on it, and select “Log off”, as depicted below:

    (NOTE – To avoid possible confusion, we recommend you avoid clicking on “Activate” in menu above, at any time.

 

Citrix StoreFront with Google Chrome (MacOS)

  1. Launch Google Chrome and browse to https://storefront.lsuhsc.edu.  
     
  2. If you do not already have the Citrix Receiver installed on your Mac, StoreFront should prompt you to install it. Click inside the check box next to “I agree with the Citrix Receiver Agreement.” and then click “Install”:

  3. Google Chrome will now start downloading “CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg” – Double Click on downloaded file to open the Disk Image.
     
  4. Double click on “Install Citrix Receiver.pkg” and proceed through the prompts by clicking
    • “Continue” and “Agree” > “Install”
    • DO NOT check "Add Account"
    • Click "Continue"
    • Click "Close”

  6. If presented with the window below, Click “Detect Receiver”:

  7. Click “Open Citrix Receiver Launcher.app”:

  8. If prompted with “You are opening the application “Citrix Receiver Launcher” for the first time. Are you sure you want to open this application?” Click “Open”:

  9. You should now see the StoreFront logon dialog, shown below.  Simply log on with your typical LSUHSC User ID and password:

  10. You will now see your available Citrix desktop connections, similar to the screenshot below:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox and browse to https://storefront.lsuhsc.edu.
