Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: I can't get my software package working and continually get python related errors.  What should I do?

A: Tigerfish is a shared HPC resource and the system installed python must support a broad array of system users.  You should install your own version of python in your user space which will allow for needed customizations to work with your software packages of interest.  You will also need to then modify your environment variables and path to access your locally installed version of python.

Q: Who can I contact to get additional support in working with the cluster?

A: Primary support for the Tigerfish cluster is provided by the IT department support staff.  If you have any questions regarding use of the cluster or wish to report issues, contact Christopher Taylor using the email directory.
