LSU Health New Orleans Ombuds Office
Associate Ombuds- Michael Brouchu, PhD
The Ombuds is a trained mediator and is available to resolve conflict through an informal process. The conflict resolution never goes into the employee's HR file or the student's record (since this is an informal process, no records are kept). Using the Ombuds' services is a favorable option for employees who want to improve their working environment without involving HR or Compliance. The ombuds informally mediates or negotiates dispute resolutions.
Associate Ombuds serves LSU Health New Orleans and LSU Health Shreveport.

LSUHSC-NO's Office of Compliance Programs was established in March 2002 to provide consistency in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations and University's Policies and Procedures across all the University's schools and administrative areas. Our mission is to contribute to the institution's overall excellence by increasing faculty, staff and student awareness of, and compliance with, applicable statutory, regulatory and policy requirements. This is necessary to minimize the institution's exposure to fraud, waste, and liability, through education, reporting and monitoring.
