IBC MEETING SCHEDULE - 2025

Registrations, applications, amendments and annual update forms are processed as received. Applications requiring Full Committee Review must be submitted by 5 pm of the 2^nd Monday of the month for the next month's meeting held on the 2^nd Wednesday of the month.

NIH Transparency Update for IBC Meeting Minutes

On March 28, 2025, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued a memorandum titled “Implementation Update: Promoting Maximal Transparency Under the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules.”

In accordance with this update, NIH now requires that Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) meeting minutes from all meetings occurring on or after June 1, 2025, be made publicly available on the institution’s website immediately following IBC approval and after all necessary and allowable redactions have been completed.

LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans will begin posting approved IBC meeting minutes on this webpage in compliance with NIH expectations. Meeting minutes from sessions held prior to June 1, 2025, will not be posted online, but remain available to the public upon request, as permitted under NIH policy.
