Semester: Summer, Fall and Spring
Description: Established via a HRSA grant in 201, this IPE experience has been sustained since the 2017-18 academic year. Medical (4th year), nurse anesthesia (2nd year) and respiratory therapy students (2nd year spring semester) use a high-fidelity simulation environment to practice Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). This interprofessional experience includes an initial experience, a debriefing session and a resimulation. Faculty use the debriefing sessions to enhance student learning in clinical, teamwork and TeamSTEPPS® communication skills.
