Programs: Dental and Physical Therapy

Description: Developed in 2016, this IPE experience has transitioned from a small and large group discussions occuring in a classroom to student demonstration of their skills and case-based discussions occuring in the dental clinic environment.  Students read temporomandibular disorder literature published from the opposite profession and discuss findings and clarify unfamiliar terms. Following a demonstration activity, students apply their knowledge to a patient case focused on roles, treatment interventions and collaboration.
