Winter Break Hours

The LSUHSC Libraries will be open regular hours (Isch?® or Dental) until Thursday, December 20th. The Winter Break hours are as follows:

Both Libraries will re-open on Wednesday, January 2nd at 8 am.

Thanksgiving Hours

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Libraries (both Dental & Isch?®) will close early on Wednesday, November 21st. Dental will close at 5 pm and?á?áIsch?® will close at 6 pm.?á The Libraries will remain closed Thursday, November 22nd throught Saturday, November 24th.?á Both will re-0pen on Sunday, November 25th at their normal times, Dental at?á11:30 am?áand?áIsch?® at 1:30 pm.

Isaac Aftermath / Labor Day Hours

The Isché Library will be open limited hours (9 am – 5 pm) on Friday, August 31st and Saturday, September 1st and from 11:30 am to 8 pm on Sunday, September 2nd in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac. The Library will be closed Monday, September 3rd in observance of Labor Day.

The Dental Library remains closed until Tuesday, September 4th at 8 am.

Independence Day Hours

The Isch?® and Dental Libraries will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th in honor of Indepence Day. Additionally the Isch?® Library will close at 8 pm on Tuesday, July 3rd instead of 10 pm. The Dental Library will be open until 8 pm as usual on Tuesday.

Both Libraries will re-open on Thursday, July 5th at 8 am.

Memorial Day – Closure

?áThe Libraries are closed today in observance of Memorial Day. Both will reopen on Tuesday, May 29th at 8 am.

Memorial Day Hours

Both the Dental & Isché Libraries will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th. The Isché Library will be open regular hours (9:30 am to 6 pm) on Saturday, May 26th and from 12 noon to 8:30 pm on Sunday, May 27th. The Dental Library will be closed as usual on Saturday and will be open from 11:30 am to 8 pm on Sunday, May 26th.

Dental Mardi Gras Hours

The dental library will have reduced hours for the week of Mardi Gras.

MLK, Jr Day Hours

Both the Isché & Dental Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Both libraries will be open their regular hours on Sunday (1:30 – 10 pm for Isché and 11:30 am – 8 pm for Dental). And will reopen at 8 am on Tuesday, January 17th.

Dental Library – Winter Break Hours

The Dental Library will be open from 8 am to 5 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, December 21st and 22nd, and from 8 am to 4:30 pm on Friday, December 23rd. Regular hours (8 am to 8 pm) will be observed on Monday and Tuesday, December 19th and 20th.

The Dental Library has re-opened! The Library has been closed to the public since mid-August for HVAC & ceiling work.

Welcome Kandice Osborne to the Dental Library

Kandice Osborne has joined the Dental Library staff as Sunday and evening supervisor. She will work Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Kandice is a native of Kenner and a graduate of UNO. She most recently worked at the UNO Credit Union.

Kandice’s arrival coincides with the reopening of the library after our August closing for air conditioning system renovations. We’re happy to welcome her to the Dental Library staff.

Dental Library closing for AC upgrade

Beginning Tuesday, August 16, the Dental Library will be closed for several months, to allow for work on the air conditioning system. Library staff can best be reached by email after the 15th.

Although the library will be closed, we may be able to retrieve books for you to borrow. Please contact Liz or Julie if there is anything you need. We are still available to help with online searches, reference questions, accessing articles, etc.

The PayPaw printer and the coin-op/PayPaw photocopier will be moved to Room 5316 and will be available whenever the school is open. For assistance during regular business hours, contact Computer Services in Room 5312.
