ILLiad will be unavailable from 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16th until completion (approximately 2 hours). When it is available again, users will enjoy enhanced and more attractive webpages. Thanks for your patience.
As the Libraries have moved from print journals to electronic ones, the current journal shelves have been used less and less. So today they’ve been removed. Current print issues will be shelved with the full journal runs on the 5th floor of the Isché Library.
The Library continues to re-organize the 3rd floor to offer an optimum study environment.
That’s all the remaining time the library is open today!
In honor of the upcoming Buckeye beating BCS championship game, LSUHSC-NO campus closes at NOON today.
We will open again for regular hours Tuesday, January 8 (tomorrow) at 8AM.
The Libraries (and really the entire campus) will close at 12 noon on Monday, January 7th. The LSU Tigers are playing in the BCS National Championship in the Superdome. The Buckeyes don’t stand a chance.

Fall Exam Hours are in session once again. The John P. Isché Library will be open until 12 midnight, 7 days per week until December 21st.
The Dental Collection has been returned to the Dental Library.
The Library is happy to welcome Sabrina Caston to the Circulation Staff of the John P. Isché Library. Sabrina will work evenings and weekends.
On Halloween, the Isché Library will be haunted by Miss Information and Zombrarian. Come in for information, photos, and fun.
The John P. Isché Library has expanded its hours until Midnight 5 days a week.
Three sets of wireless instructions are now available for connecting to the network on campus. Versions for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Intel PROSet are all available.
The Library now offers an online tutorial to assist users with off campus access.
The Library has purchased a new microforms reader/printer; it is located in the public computer area on the 3rd floor. This new model is digital and users can opt to print directly or save the file to a jump drive.
The New Books Display is back! Check it out on the 3rd floor of the Isché Library.
Web of Science, the online version of Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index now includes more years. Science Citation Index is now available from 1900-2007 and Social Science Citation Index is now available from 1956.
Natural Standard provides access to evidence-based information about complementary and alternative therapies.
Scopus offers abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources.
The LSUHSC Libraries will close at 6 p.m. today, Friday, December 21st. We will remain closed through January 1st in accordance with the University Schedule. The Libraries will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd at 8 a.m. Have a great break!
Remember that the Isché Library is open until Midnight every night through the end of exams (December 20th). Stay and study until you turn into a pumpkin.
The Library will be open late on Fridays & Saturdays throughout the month of December for university exam hours. The schedule is as follows:

The Isché Library will closed today (Wednesday, Nov. 21st) at 8 p.m. It will re-open on Sunday, November 25th at 1:30 p.m. And Exam Hours begin on Monday.
The Dental Collection has been fully restored to the Dental Library. Although further adjustments will be made, it’s good to have access to that collection again. It has been in climate controlled storage since the storm.
The library is pleased to welcome its newest staff member, Sabrina Caston. Sabrina will be joining the Circulation staff. She is a native New Orleaninan and graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. Welcome Sabrina.

Join Maureen ?óÔé¼?ôMolly?óÔé¼?Ø Knapp for a basic overview of RefWorks on Monday November 5th from 12-1pm in the Library Lab 401K. This one hour class will show you how to create a RefWorks account and use it in tandem with the research database of your choice to save time and frustration when writing your next research article.
