The Library is pleased to welcome back both Debbie Sibley, Associate Director and Valerie Hernandez, Cataloging/Serials Associate. Debbie worked for LSUMC New Orleans from 1978-1981. Valerie worked as a Circulation Associate at the Dental School prior to Hurricane Katrina. We are happy to welcome them both home to New Orleans.

Isché, former Director of Libraries, for whom the Resource Center Library was named in 1991.

Protein Lounge provides access to system biology databases and research tools.
Springer eBook Collection provides access to more than 10,000 of SpringerÔÇÖs scientific, technical, and medical books in both fully searchable PDF and HTML. These titles have been donated to New Orleans area universities by the publishing company in support of post-Katrina rebuilding.
ExamMaster is an online resource which provides access to medical exam and preparation review resources.
A new exhibit features photos of the Health Sciences Center during the flood and the post-storm recovery process in the Library.
Science is now available full-text online from 1997 to the present.
Protein Lounge is a system biology database. LSUHSC Libraries have arranged a two week trial from August 5th until August 19th. Let us know what you think.
Book Index with Reviews (link removed) is a database that provides information on over 3.8 million book titles.
Access to the Thieme ElectronicBook Library is now available. This resource provides access to the publishers Flexibook Atlases and Textbooks Series.
EMBASE provides access to current biomedical and pharmacological literature.
IHM: Images from the History of Medicine is a database of over 60,000 images in the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) historical prints and photographs collection.
A new page highlighting PDA Resources (link removed) available via LSUHSC Library subscriptions has been created.
The General Library Class and ILLiad Class are now scheduled for July through September.
ILLiad is a new interlibrary loan management system that is now available. Its features include one-time online registration, web-based tracking of ILLs, and automatic email notifications.
DynaMed is an evidence-based primary care research tool. PDA access is available.

Mosby’s Nursing Consult provides access to both full-text books and journals, as well as other resources of use to nurses and nursing students.
In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the Library has attempted move to electronic versions of most of its journals; please check INNOPAC for specific titles.
PsycArticles provides access to searchable full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology.
PsychiatryOnline from APPI provides access to several American Psychiatric Press monographs, including the DSM-IV-TR, as well as 5 journals.
