Scheduled Maintenance for ClinicalKey, September 20, 2025

September 18, 2025: If you were planning on getting up early Saturday to delve into the latest edition of Clinical Chemistry on the ClinicalKey database, you might want to sleep in. The ClinicalKey database will undergo scheduled maintenance this Saturday morning, September 20, 2025. The affected time will be from 5:30 am to 8 am our time. During the maintenance period, some functionality or content which would normally be accessible in the database may not be available or operate as it normally would. ClinicalKey, and the Library, appreciate your patience, as always.

Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, 22nd Edition, Now Available

June 30, 2025 – The newest edition of Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine is now available via AccessMedicine. The 22nd edition ebook has 24 sections, encompassing 559 chapters. There are 17 new Clinical Procedure tutorials such as “Central Venous Catheter Placement” and “Basic Suturing”, and a fully updated Video Collection, with a new entry, “Primary Progressive Aphasia, Memory Loss, and Other Focal Cerebral Disorders”, added. “Emerging Topics in Clinical Medicine” is a completely new section covering such topics as:

  • Improving Health and Health Care Using Behavioral Economics
  • Network Medicine and Multiomic Approaches to Health and Disease
  • Machine Learning and Augmented Intelligence in Clinical Medicine
  • Emerging Neurotherapeutic Technologies

New Database: Stahl Online

June 26, 2025: The Library has added Stahl Online to our database resources. This collection from Cambridge Core includes such titles as:

  • Clinical Reasoning and Decision-Making in Psychiatry
  • Management of Complex Treatment-Resistant Psychotic Disorders
  • Decriminalizing Mental Illness
  • Next Generation Antidepressants

Also included in the collection are Stahl’s Essential Psychopharmacology, Prescriber’s Guides, Illustrated Guides, Handbooks, and Case Studies.

May 30, 2025: ClinicalKey will be performing scheduled maintenance on Saturday morning, May 31st, from 6am to 10am our time. During that time, some functionality or content may not be available.

Bates Visual Guide Unavailable Tonight

May 20, 2025: Due to scheduled maintenance, Wolters Kluwer has advised us that Bates Visual Guide will not be available this evening. Per the notice we received this morning, the module will be undergoing scheduled maintenance from Tuesday, May 20 at 8:45 pm until 3:00 am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. During this period, some functions may be temporarily unavailable, including password reset, new user registration, and administrative functions. If you were planning on using Bates Visual Guide during that time frame and think you might need to reset your password or you need to register, you might consider doing so before the scheduled maintenance begins.

EBSCO EBooks Scheduled Maintenance February 26, 2025

February 25, 2025
EBSCO will perform scheduled maintenance on the EBSCO eBooks system platform tomorrow at 7AM and expect it to be completed within 4 hours.

Per EBSCO:
“During the maintenance window, users will not be able to download DRM-protected eBooks from the new user interfaces, classic Ehost/EDS, or the EBSCO Mobile App. All other eBook access is unaffected: users will continue to have access to read eBooks in the online viewer, download chapters, and download DRM-free eBooks.”

EBSCO apologizes for any inconvenience that this necessary maintenance may cause.

EBSCO EBooks Downtime Super Bowl Sunday

EBSCO will be performing scheduled maintenance on their eBooks system on February 9th. The scheduled maintenance will start at 1AM our time and should last about 3 hours.

Gahart’s Intravenous Medications Is Now Elsevier!

There is a new edition of Gahart’s Intravenous Medications but the author has changed and so has the title. Elsevier’s 2023 Intravenous Medications: a handbook for nurses and health professionals is now available via ClinicalKey.

This 2023 edition marks the fiftieth year of publication of Intravenous Medications. Betty L. Gahart has stepped away from the publication and the new author is Shelly Rainforth Collins. Betty Gahart originated the idea for this text and manned the helm for nearly 50 years with contributions from her her co-authors, Adrienne R. Nazareno and Meghan Q. Ortega.
