FIXED: ClinicalKey organization prompt

UPDATE: The problem has been fixed, and you should be able to access ClinicalKey content as usual.

We are seeing a new organization prompt when accessing ClinicalKey both on and off campus:

The manager of the database is currently working to fix the problem. Until this is resolved, choose LSU Health New Orleans, general access.

FIXED: ClinicalKey access problems

UPDATE August 5, 2022: The problem has been resolved, so you can now use the Library’s link to ClinicalKey (https://ezproxy.lsuhsc.edu/login?url=https://www.clinicalkey.com) and should not have any troubles. If you do need help, contact us.

ORIGINAL POST August 5, 2022: If you are trying to access ClinicalKey using any link that has https://ezproxy.lsuhsc.edu/login?url= as the prefix, it is currently not working. This will affect all off campus access, as well as using ClinicalKey through the VPN, Citrix, or on campus when logged into the LSUHSC-Secure wireless network.

Until this problem is resolved, you can access ClinicalKey by:

Go to https://www.clinicalkey.com

Choose Login on the top right of the screen:

Choose OpenAthens login on the next screen:

Then enter LSU in the box to the right and click LSU Health Sciences Center Library:

If prompted, enter your full LSUHSC-NO email address and password:

ClinicalKey problems

UPDATE: The problem appears to be fixed, so all links to ClinicalKey from any Library resources should work correctly. Please contact us if you have trouble.

Links from the Library’s catalog, E-Journals & E-Books A to Z List, and the EDS Health Discovery service to books and journals in ClinicalKey are currently not working. This problem is affecting all ClinicalKey customers.

If you need to get to a book or journal in ClinicalKey, follow this link: https://ezproxy.lsuhsc.edu/login?url=https://www.clinicalkey.com. Then you can look for the links to “Books” and “Journals” to browse to the title you want to use:

Benumof and Hagberg’s Airway Management new edition available!

Looking for Benumof and Hagberg’s Airway Management? The authors have changed the name on the new edition! Aren’t they collegial taking turns on whose name goes first?  The 2018, 4th edition is now Hagberg and Benumof’s Airway Management, and we have it online through our ClinicalKey subscription. We also have the previous edition (3rd, 2012) online via ScienceDirect and in good ol’ fashioned print.
