McGraw-Hill (AccessMedicine) and Ovid/LWW (LWW Health Library) have offered to open up extended trial access to some of their resources during the COVID-19 outbreak.
We created a LibGuide to keep track of these: https://libguides.lsuhsc.edu/trial. We will add more resources as they become available.
McGraw-Hill additional access is through June 1st. Those resources are AccessBiomedical Science, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Physiotherapy, and F.A. Davis PT collection (part of AccessPhysiotherapy).
Ovid/LWW additional access is through May 19th. Those resources are 5-MinuteConsult, Acland’s Video Atlas of Human Anatomy, Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination, LWW Health Library Clerkship/Clinical Rotations, LWW Health Library Exercise Science, LWW Health Library PA Rotations/Specialties.
It looks like our LWW Health Library access has been restored. We are still seeing a few books listed in our collections that we shouldn’t be seeing, but the good news is access is mostly fully restored. LWW also opened up a few extra collections during the CovID-19 outbreak. We have extra access to the following collections through May 19th: Clerkship/Clinical Rotations, PA Rotations and Specialties, and Exercise Science. We will blog more about those and a few other things as soon as the details are wrapped up. Thanks to Ovid/LWW for offering us those extended trials during this challenging time.
LWW Health Library is having technical difficulties. They are working to resolve our access issues. I will update the blog with more information as it becomes available.
The Library is pleased to announce that we now have access to over 40 anatomy and basic sciences books from Lippincott, Williams, & Wilkins online through the LWW Health Library platform.
