University IT has updated the EndNote download site, on July 22, 2024. There are instructions for installing EndNote21 on your personal computer or on campus InTune computers. If you have an older campus computer, you may need to create a ticket with your local supporter. EndNote is now available for all faculty, staff and students thanks to an annual subscription courtesy of University IT.
The Libraries have created a Resource Guide to support EndNote, as well as RefWorks, an alternate citation manager.
*Edit* Wednesday, July 10, 2024 11am – the stairs have reopened!
The Isché Library stairs are unavailable due to recarpeting. The elevator is the only way to access the upper floors of the Library at the moment. Hopefully this project will be complete soon.
Both Libraries will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Additionally the Dental Library will close at 5pm on Wednesday, July 3rd and the Isché Library will close at 6pm on that day.
*Edit 7/2/2024 2:30pm – the Commons area is now reopened for use.
The main study area of the downtown Library Commons will be closed on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 for carpet tile replacement and may still be closed on Wednesday, July 3rd.
*Edit* Monday, July 1 – only one side of the TV area was completed on Friday, the other side will be worked on today.
The Library Commons area with the television monitors will be closed tomorrow, June 28, 2024 for carpet replacement. The furniture will be moved out of those spaces into the tiled area, so there will be some noise while this is happening.
All the carpet is being replaced on the 3rd floor of the Isché Library. The work started yesterday, June 25, 2024. The work will take a couple of weeks to complete. But during that time library services may be interrupted. Poster printing has been offline since Monday evening. And there will be no popcorn tomorrow, June 27th. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Sections of the Library Commons will be unavailable while the carpet is being replaced in those areas. Stay tuned to hear when.

The WiFi network on the Downtown, City Park and Baton Rouge campuses will be down for approximately one hour this evening after 7pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024 for routine maintenance.
*ILLiad was back online by 12:30am on March 27th.
March 26, 2024: The Library’s interlibrary loan system, ILLiad, will be unavailable from 9pm to 12Midnight on Tuesday, March 26th for scheduled downtime.
The Libraries will be closed Friday, March 29, 2024 through Sunday, March 31, 2024 in observance of Easter weekend. Additionally the Dental Library will close at 5pm on Thursday, March 28th and the Isché Library will close at 6pm on that day. The Libraries will be open regular hours on Monday, April 1st.
Update 10:15am – the upgrade is complete.
March 18, 2024: The Library’s Interlibrary Loan system, ILLiad, will be down for scheduled maintenance on Monday, March 18th, 2024 from 9am until 11am.
February 7, 2024 – The Libraries will have holiday hours over carnival weekend through Mardi Gras.
The Isché Library will close early or be closed from February 9th-13th; the Library will close at 5pm on Friday, February 9th and Monday, February 12th and will be completely closed Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, February 10th, 11th and 13th.
The Dental Library will close early or be closed from February 9th-15th; the Library will be closed on Sunday and Tuesday, February 11th and 13th and will close at 5pm on Monday the 12th and at 6pm, Wednesday and Thursday, February 14th and 15th.
January 26, 2024 – the Dental Campus (including the Dental Library) closed at noon today because of a water main break. Stay tuned to see if the Library can open on Sunday.
January 19, 2024 – Due to an emergency repair scheduled for Saturday, January 20th, the Isché Library will be closed on this date. The Library will reopen at 9:30am on Sunday, January 21st.
The Library Commons will be open but only emergency power will be on, so limited lighting, HVAC and elevator service may be available.
January 15, 2024: Due to the expected icy conditions, the LSUHSC New Orleans Campus is closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Hopefully the campus will reopen on Wednesday.
January 12, 2024: The Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 15th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr Day. Both Libraries will be open our regular hours on Sunday, January 14th and Tuesday, January 16th.
