February is National Heart Month

The Library is recognizing National Heart Month by highlighting a selection of recent and new books in the subject of cardiology and the cardiovascular system. The LibraryÔÇÖs featured books display is located on the 3rd floor next to the Library elevator, and these titles include:

New Issue of the Library Bulletin

The latest issue of the LibraryÔÇÖs Newsletter has been released. Archives of the newsletter are also available from 1998 to the present.

Wireless Network – Ische Library

There will be a slight change to the Wireless Network in the Library as of February 3rd.?á The networked named “LSUHSC” will no longer be available. Please use “LSUHSC-Secure” instead.?á If you’ve used wireless recently in the Isché Library, it should have been defaulting to the Secure network over the last few months.?á The connection method is the same for both networks.

INNOPAC

The INNOPAC Server is about to go down for maintenance. It should be back up momentarily.?á Off-campus access to resources will be unavailable during this window.

Library Blog updated

The software for the library blog was updated last night.?á You’ll notice some differences?áin the layout. The long list of dates is now a dropdown menu with the most recent information first (essential as we come up on our 5th anniversary) and also the broad categories which we use to organize the blog are also in a dropdown menu.

Blog downtime

The Library blog will be down beginning around 5 pm today (Thursday, January 26th) for a scheduled upgrade. It should be back up by 7 pm.

MLK, Jr Day Hours

Both the Isché & Dental Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Both libraries will be open their regular hours on Sunday (1:30 – 10 pm for Isché and 11:30 am – 8 pm for Dental). And will reopen at 8 am on Tuesday, January 17th.

Geaux Tigers!

LSUHSC New Orleans (which includes the Libraries) will be closing down at noon on Monday, January 9th, in honor of the LSU Tigers playing in the BCS Championship in the Superdome.

Possible INNOPAC downtime

INNOPAC may be down for a short time today due to routine system maintenance between 10 am and 2 pm.

The Dental and Isché Libraries are now closed until January 3rd at 8 am.

Water outage Tues. PM (12/20)

There will be a domestic water outage at the Resource Center Building and S. Roman St. Garage this Tuesday, December 20th, from 10:00 PM till 2:00 AM. This outage is needed to cap a leaking waterline located in the University Medical Center construction site. During this outage there will be no hot or cold water in any of the restrooms or the lounges throughout either building.

Ische Library Closing @ 6

Reminder: Monday through Friday, December 19th -23rd, the Isché Library will close at 6 pm.

Dental Library – Winter Break Hours

The Dental Library will be open from 8 am to 5 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, December 21st and 22nd, and from 8 am to 4:30 pm on Friday, December 23rd. Regular hours (8 am to 8 pm) will be observed on Monday and Tuesday, December 19th and 20th.

Winter Break Hours – Isch?® Library

During the semester break (and before the University closes for Christmas/New Year’s) the Isché Library will have shortened hours.
Sunday, December 18th 11:30 am – 8 pm
Monday, December 19th through Friday, December 23rd 8 am – 6 pm.

Closed Saturday, December 24th – Monday, January 2nd.
