Original post April 24, 2023: Thieme is having problems with the online versions of the journals we get from them, and at present only the tables of contents of the issues and abstracts of the articles are available.
We will update when we have more information.
If you need any help with this or any other Library resources, please contact us.

A new selection of articles have been added to the Faculty Publications display in the Ische Library. These eight articles, as well as all of the articles in our Faculty Publications database, are authored by at least one member of our research community here at LSUHSC-New Orleans. Check out the Display below:
If you have an article you would like us to highlight or if you have any questions regarding the display or the database, you can contact our Librarians at reference@lsuhsc.edu.
INNOPAC, the Library Catalog, will be unavailable for approximately an hour starting at 11pm on Monday, April 10, 2023. The outage is necessary for a system update.
The majority of Library resources will still be available during this time.
These new subscriptions are thanks in large part to Marlene Bishop, Head, Collection Development, who was responsible for negotiating and finalizing the agreement for this resource, as well as the bulk of the Library’s offerings.
If you have any questions about this or any other Library resources, please contact us.
The Libraries will be closed Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9 for the University Easter Holiday. Both the Isché and Dental Libraries will close at 6pm on Thursday, April 6. Both Libraries will re-open on Monday, April 10 with their regular hours.

LSU-HSC New Orleans LibGuides have been changed from a top “tab” navigation style to a side navigation style. This was done to match the rest of the LSU-HSC New Orleans websites, as those are all also side navigation. In addition to the navigation change, profile boxes of the guide’s owners are now available, this was done to make contacting the person who owns a certain LibGuide easier, and would be the person to contact if there is a question about a LibGuide and its content.
INNOPAC, the Library Catalog, will be unavailable for approximately an hour starting at 11pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. The outage is necessary for a system update.
The majority of Library resources will still be available during this time.
There is a new edition of Gahart’s Intravenous Medications but the author has changed and so has the title. Elsevier’s 2023 Intravenous Medications: a handbook for nurses and health professionals is now available via ClinicalKey.
This 2023 edition marks the fiftieth year of publication of Intravenous Medications. Betty L. Gahart has stepped away from the publication and the new author is Shelly Rainforth Collins. Betty Gahart originated the idea for this text and manned the helm for nearly 50 years with contributions from her her co-authors, Adrienne R. Nazareno and Meghan Q. Ortega.
The Resource Center Building which includes the downtown Isché Library and the Library Commons will be completely without power from 6pm until 9pm on Friday, March 17th. The Library will close at 5:30pm to allow for a cushion for everyone to leave before the power is turned off. The Library will reopen at 9:30am on Saturday morning as usual.
In addition to the Library’s existing subscriptions to Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences and the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, we now have access to the current issues of Biology Letters, Interface Focus, and Journal of the Royal Society Interface.
Previously, the three new journals were available after a one-year embargo, but our subscriptions to these titles now mean you can access the most recent content from these journals.
If you need help with these or any other Library resources, please contact us.
We now have a subscription to the American Chemical Society (ACS) Core Plus Package. This package has brought access to fifteen new journals, as well as adding current access to five journals already in the Library’s collection.
If you need any assistance with these journals or any other Library resources, please contact us.
