Technical difficulties

Case Files Collection glitch

Our subscription to Case Files Collection from McGraw-Hill is not working correctly. Ignore the message that says “Get Free Access Through Your Institution.” You can still access some of the content if you are not logged into your MyAccess profile/account, but if you log in to your profile, it should be working correctly.

Creating a MyAccess profile is free, and you will need a MyAccess profile to use all of the functionality of the cases. If you are off-campus, you will need to be in an authenticated web session first in order to create a profile. See more information about off-campus access here: https://www.lsuhsc.edu/library/offcampus.aspx.

If you need assistance, please contact your librarian liaison or library technical services: librarytech@lsuhsc.edu.

RESOLVED (mostly): LWW Health Library technical difficulties

It looks like our LWW Health Library access has been restored.  We are still seeing a few books listed in our collections that we shouldn’t be seeing, but the good news is access is mostly fully restored.  LWW also opened up a few extra collections during the CovID-19 outbreak.  We have extra access to the following collections through May 19th: Clerkship/Clinical Rotations, PA Rotations and Specialties, and Exercise Science.  We will blog more about those and a few other things as soon as the details are wrapped up. Thanks to Ovid/LWW for offering us those extended trials during this challenging time.

FIXED! Thieme E-Book Library problems

UPDATE: This problem has been fixed, 2/16/2017.  The Thieme E-Book Library titles can be accessed on or off-campus through the INNOPAC catalog.  Thanks for your patience!

The Thieme E-Book Library is not working properly through our library catalog, INNOPAC.  The books can still be accessed on campus directly through the Thieme E-Book Library platform: https://ebooks.thieme.com/bookshelf or off campus through CITRIX.  Books can be read online or downloaded for offline use via iPublishCentral Reader, which is available on the Thieme E-Book Library website.  We are currently updating the links in our catalog and working with the publisher to fix this problem.
