The LSUHSC Libraries provide access to Exam Master, an online resource that helps students prepare for exams. Exam Master includes USMLE and NBDE practice tests, as well as medical subject reviews.
First time users must create an Exam Master username and password.
Username is your lsuhsc email address.
Password is one you create.
The LSUHSC Libraries (both Isché and Dental) will be closed on Monday, January 17th in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday. Both Libraries will be open regular hours, 1:30-10 pm, on Sunday, January 16th.
The Libraries (both Isché and Dental) are closed for the Winter Break. The Dental Library will re-open on Sunday, January 2nd at 1:30 pm. The Isché Library will re-open on Monday, January 3rd at 8 am.
The Dental Library will have reduced hours for Winter Break before closing from December 23rd through January 1st. The hours will be as follows:
Tuesday-Wednesday December 21st-22nd 8 am – 5 pm
Thursday, December 23rd through January 1st Closed
The Library will resume normal hours on January 2nd.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The Isché & Dental Libraries will reopen on Sunday, November 28th at 1:30 pm.
On Wednesday, November 24th, the Isché Library will close at 6 p.m. and the Dental Library will close at 5 p.m. Both Libraries will remain closed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (November 25th-27th) in honor of Thanksgiving. Both will re-open on Sunday, November 28th from 1:30-10 p.m.
Additionally, because of facilities work on the elevated walkways, the Library Commons will also be closed. |

Ever notice that sometimes it’s difficult to tell exactly which tooth is hurting when you have a toothache?
Researchers in Germany have studied just that issue and will soon publish an article in the journal Pain with thier conclusions. It would seem that when it comes to pain in the mouth, the brain doesn’t descriminate location nearly as well as it does in other regions of the body.
A summary of the research was recently posted to the Wired Science Blog. The article, currently only available as an electronic proof, will be published soon.
I sure hope the volunteer test subjects were well compensated for their participation!
