February Spotlight on Faculty Publications

A new selection of articles has been added to the Faculty Publications display in the Ische Library. These eight articles, as well as all of the articles in our Faculty Publications database, are authored by at least one member of our research community here at LSUHSC-New Orleans. Each month the Library is proud to present copies of eight of these publications in a rotating display of 16. They can be viewed in the Reference area, on the wall between the main entrance and the Library elevator, on the third floor of the Resource Center Building.

Libraries are open!

Both Libraries and both campuses are open once again. Fingers crossed for no more freezing weather!

Campus Closure Extended Again

Both the downtown and the dental campuses will remain closed on Friday, January 19th. The rest of the weekend is a question mark, depending on water pressure.

If water pressure to our buildings improves, then the downtown library will open on Saturday and both libraries will reopen on Sunday.

*Edit* water pressure continues to be insufficient for plumbing use. The Libraries remain closed for the weekend.

Campus Closure Extended

Due to anticipated poor weather conditions. The entire campus will be shutting down at 3pm today. The Libraries and both the downtown and dental campuses will remain closed on Wednesday, January 17th. The Libraries plan to reopen on Thursday, January 18th at 8am. Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday

Both the Isché & Dental Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 15th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr Day. Both Libraries will be open their regular hours on Sunday.

Winter Break Hours

The Isché Library will begin Winter Break Hours on Sunday, December 17th and will be open from 12 noon to 8:30 pm. From Monday, December 18th through Friday, December 22nd, the Isché Library will be open from 8am to 6pm.

The Dental Library will begin Winter Break Hours on Monday, December 18th and will continue through Friday, December 22nd. The Dental Library will be open from 8am to 5pm.

Both Libraries will be closed Saturday, December 23rd through Tuesday, January 2nd for the University Holiday.

Thanksgiving Hours

Both the Dental and Isché Libraries will be open regular hours Monday and Tuesday (November 20th and 21st) of Thanksgiving week. Both Libraries will close early on Wednesday, November 22nd, Dental at 5pm and Isché at 6pm. The Libraries will be closed Thursday through Saturday, November 23rd through 25th. And will reopen on Sunday, November 26th with normal business hours.

Every Necessary Care and Attention: George Washington and Medicine

LSUHealth – New Orleans Libraries is proud to present Every Necessary Care and Attention: George Washington and Medicine. The display includes six banners from the National Library Medicine as well as local articles, books, and archival material. The display will be at Isché Library November 13 – Dec 1 and the Dental Library Dec 4 – Dec 21.

Downtown Library Bookdrop

Due to some maintenance on the elevated walkways this past weekend, the Downtown Library bookdrop has been moved to the other side of the vending machines. When maintenance is complete, it may move back to its original location.
